Videos with Vibes

Honestly, this is kind of a catch-all category for channels that didn't really fit anywhere else. But as luck would have it, all the channels here do have great vibes, meaning they are just very relaxing to watch.

Megan Rhiannon

Megan's channel has quickly become one of my favorites on youtube since I got recommended one of her videos out of the blue. I have been keeping a diary for many years and have watched the occasional video from the journalling community, but I never really connected either with the people or their journalling styles. Megans videos are different in that her systems are more utilitarian and less about putting stickers everywhere and doing hand lettering and stuff, which I prefer. I actually bought a Hobonichi book because of her and have been really enjoying using it (especially since they have a whole Earthbound/Mother themed lineup!). She has since switched to using a Philofax with her self-made pages, in case you are more interested in that. She also talks very openly about her autism (for example in this video she showcases her stim toy collection) in a gentle kind of way, which has helped me personally a lot. If you like relaxing vlog-type content about disability and/or journalling, definitely check her out!

benjiplant

This channel is all about plant care, which I know virtually nothing about (I have managed to kill several cacti before), but these videos just have a great vibe, they are so relaxing (and I am not biased because we have the same name or anything). Benji also has been doing less information based and more vlog-type videos recently, including travel vlogs. He also moved into a very cool mid-century house with his boyfriend and does home decorating videos and stuff like that. Again, very much not something I care about in my personal life, but I still enjoy the content a lot. He also has a tiny dog and most recently has also gotten a cat!

Cracking The Cryptic

I really enjoy a good sudoku and do them a lot in my free time, but I'm not even close to as good as Mark. He is a sudoku champion of some sort, and watching him solve these very difficult sudokus with novel rules is a lot of fun. Especially since he brings so much enthusiasm to it; he can't praise a puzzle with a unique solution enough. The channel uploads very frequently (once a day), but half of the videos are by the other owner of the channel, Anthony, who mainly does crosswords, which I don't really care about. You might, though, so if you like puzzles and british accents, go check them out!

Brady Brandwood

Like most people I discovered this channel through his very popular video about keeping a grocery store lobster as a pet. The video has 25 million views but what most people probably haven't realised is that he has been making regular video updates about Leon the lobster and the other animals he keeps (many other aquarium animals, 23 cats, all of them rescues, chickens etc.). His videos also sometimes feature some exploring of the surrounding wilderness and abandoned buildings and they just have a very relaxed vibe over all. So in case you have seen this video already, you might want to check back in with Leon with some of his other stuff!

Kotsumet

This is a japanese channel by a couple that has two otters as pets. I love a good animal video, as most people probably do, but I usually don't seek that content out. But I have to say, I enjoy watching Hana and Kotaro a lot, so I wanted to share their channel here. Otters seem like really demanding pets, as they are very intelligent and full of energy while being less easy to please than dogs. Also they need a pool to swim in (obviously), so they are basically like small children, except they never outgrow the toddler phase and drag water everywhere. Very cute, though!
